Luadh or waulking, is the traditional method of finishing, shrinking, and thickening newly woven wool. Historically the practice of women who would gather and bang the wool into purpose while singing òrain luaidh (waulking songs). Luadh is inextricably bound to the land, community, and generational creativity. Here cunning sisters shape the island and fabric of reality itself.
